I’m Kami, better known online as ELessar. I’m from northern Iran, and depending on which part of my life you look at, I’ve been a photographer, filmmaker, editor, gamer, developer, game designer, crypto guy, and designing NFTs and digital arts, or some combination of all of them at once. The Lord of the Rings was probably the beginning of a lot of this. It shaped a huge part of what I like in stories, games, characters, and worlds, and the name ELessar certainly wasn’t an accident. It stuck with me long enough that it eventually became the name I use pretty much everywhere online. I started using Photoshop when I was around 14, which eventually grew into a much broader interest in visual art and storytelling. Later on, I got into photography and filmmaking, and I’ve spent around 9 years doing both. I’ve also spent about 2 years coding, and the last year getting deeper into game development. Gaming, however, has been there for basically my entire conscious existence; roughly 24 years at this point. Survival games are where I feel most at home, especially DayZ, where half the fun is surviving, and the other half is somehow turning complete disaster into a story worth remembering. That combination of gaming and filmmaking is ultimately why I started streaming. I don’t just want to play games. I like creating things around them: videos, tools, systems, stories, dumb ideas that somehow become real projects, and occasionally entire pieces of software because the thing I wanted didn’t exist. I’m currently developing my own game, Piss Them Off, which probably tells you enough about how seriously I take myself. My personality is pretty simple: I don’t care much about 99% of things, but when something lands in the remaining 1%, I tend to go completely overboard with it. I’m impatient, curious, and know at least a little bit about an unreasonable number of subjects. Somewhere in between all of that, there may occasionally be some suspiciously relaxed creative decision-making involved. Coming from Iran, one of the things I’m most proud of is having built friendships and connections with people all over the world, despite the barriers between us. More than anything, I’m here to meet people, make connections, build weird shit, play good games, and hopefully create things worth sticking around for. That’s pretty much the point of all this.
